Job summary

America's Thrift Stores – Rome, GA is seeking a part-time Processing Team Member to help sort donated items and prepare treasures for the sales floor. You’ll load and unload carts, identify recyclable items, and work with a diverse team to move merchandise efficiently.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and 18 or older, ready to join a mission-driven team that supports community partners and environmental goals.

Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years old and ready to join our processing team.
• You pay close attention to details and work well with others.
• You stay organized while sorting donations and preparing items for sale.

Responsibilities

• Sort donated items and identify great finds.
• Help identify recyclable items and keep waste out of landfills.
• Get great finds sales floor ready.
• Load and unload carts to move merchandise safely and efficiently.

What Does a Processing Team Member Do Anyway?

• Sort donated items and identify great finds
• Help identify recyclable items. Even if we can't sell it, we keep it out of the landfill
• Get those great finds sales floor ready
• Load and unload carts to get merchandise out safely and efficiently

Whether we are hanging the perfect jeans (thrifting one pairof jeans saves the world 1,800 gallons of water ya know!) or separating out recyclable materials, we combine our passion for customers and community service.
