Job summary

America's Thrift Stores in Decatur, AL is seeking a Processing Team Member for our donations processing area. This part-time role focuses on sorting items, identifying recyclables, and preparing treasures for the floor.

No prior retail experience is required; we provide training. You’ll work in a fast-paced team, loading/unloading carts, keeping an organized warehouse, and contributing to a positive community impact.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Sort donated items and identify great finds.
• Help identify recyclable items to reduce landfill waste.
• Get great finds ready for the sales floor.
• Load and unload carts for safe, efficient merchandise movement.

What Does a Processing Team Member Do Anyway?

• Sort donated items and identify great finds
• Help identify recyclable items. Even if we can't sell it, we keep it out of the landfill
• Get those great finds sales floor ready
• Load and unload carts to get merchandise out safely and efficiently

Whether we are hanging the perfect jeans (thrifting one pairof jeans saves the world 1,800 gallons of water ya know!) or separating out recyclable materials, we combine our passion for customers and community service.
