Job summary

Purity Dairies in Nashville is seeking a Pasteurizer Operator to run HTST machines and make necessary adjustments for safe, efficient production. On-site role with a 9pm–5am schedule (Sun–Thu) and opportunities for growth within the Dairy Farmers of America system.

The position requires basic math, ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, and adherence to GMPs. Benefits include 401(k), health coverage, paid time off, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months related experience required.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Be able to stand, walk, push or pull a majority of the day; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate HTST machines and adjust to ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality production.
• Maintain clear, legible paperwork and document information per SOPs.
• Follow GMPs and communicate effectively across departments.

Purity Dairy has immediate job openings for a Pasteurizer Operator is responsible for operating HTST machines and making necessary adjustments to ensure production of products is made in a safe, efficient, and high-quality manner. Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production. Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s. Filler Operator will be required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and communicate effectively with all departments.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months related experience required.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to able to stand, walk, push or pull a majority of the day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to work in a wet environment with some exposure dust, gas or fumes.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks)
