Job summary

Morgan Foods, Inc. is seeking a Processing Maintenance Mechanic for a full-time, on-site role in Austin, IN. The position supports safe operation of processing, batching, filling, and seaming equipment across the plant.

The role requires performing setup, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, with emphasis on equipment reliability, food safety, and quality. Shift options include first, second, and third as part of a union environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Industrial maintenance or related mechanical experience preferred.
• Experience with food-processing equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow manuals, instructions, and safety procedures.
• Maximo or other CMMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain processing, batching, filling, and seaming equipment before and during production.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders and documentation in Maximo.
• Support changeovers and ensure equipment readiness and HACCP compliance.
• Collaborate across Maintenance, Processing, Production, and Quality Assurance.
