Job summary

Overhill Farms Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 1 to service and repair industrial machinery, refrigeration, electrical and mechanical systems in a food processing plant. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance and fabricate parts as needed with minimal supervision.

The role requires experience with boilers, HVAC, packaging equipment, and CMMS, and participation in emergency response protocols. This is a non-exempt, on-site position in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Courses from a junior college or technical institute, job-related seminars, and ongoing education.
• Experience with utility-related equipment boilers, water systems, air compressors, HVAC.
• Experience with automated and high-speed packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of and experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
• Able to troubleshoot pneumatic and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production line and facility equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance routines on all equipment.
• Assist in the design and installation of new equipment or layouts.
• Assist with the operation and repair of production line equipment.
• Assist in the other areas of plant maintenance as needed.
• Maintain proper housekeeping in all areas.
• Must be able to participate in company’s emergency response team.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
• Trouble shooting and diagnosis of mechanical failures.
