Job summary

Morgan Foods, Inc. in Austin, IN, is seeking a full-time Electrician to support on-site production. The role requires troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and rapid repair of electrical systems to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical certification in electrical systems or industrial maintenance preferred.
Experience in industrial maintenance and food processing preferred.
Proficient with electrical test instruments, PLCs, motor controls, and automation.
Knowledge of OSHA and SQF/HACCP/GMPs.

Responsibilities

Serve as a Safety Champion by helping ensure employees, equipment, and the work environment remain safe.
Perform daily setup of production and packaging equipment and checkweighers; ensure systems are operational.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment following LOTO procedures.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and automated machinery to minimize downtime.
Use test instruments and read wiring diagrams to identify and fix issues.
Maintain records in CMMS (Maximo) and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
