Job summary

Vital Farms - Current Crew Members is seeking a Processing Associate for the night shift to wash, sort, and pack pasture-raised eggs at the Egg Central Station. You will work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, standing for long periods and moving items within a climate-controlled facility.

You must be able to read, speak, and write in English for safety and quality, have 1 year of production experience, and lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience in a production and/or manufacturing environment.
• Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and robots to load, sort, and pack eggs.
• Maintain sanitary conditions for food production.
• Follow procedures and perform quality checks on eggs.
• Inspect supplies and ensure readiness for use.
• Move supplies and product within the warehouse using powered jacks.
• Adapt to other duties as needed and stay flexible.

What You’ll Do (Job Overview):

As aProcessing Associate - Night Shift at Vital Farms, you will work within our state-of-the-art manufacturing and production facility to wash, sort, and pack our pasture-raised eggs from our family farms. This role at Egg Central Station (ECS) is critical in bridging the gap from local family farms to grocery stores for our consumers. You’ll be on your feet during each twelve-hour shift, moving, lifting, loading and working with air-conditioned and sunlight-filled warehouse.

• Week 1: 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on
• Week 2: 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off
• Shifts: 12 hour shifts
  
  • Day Crew - 6am to 6pm
  • Night Crew- 6pm to 6am

A Day as a Processing Associate at Egg Central Station:

• Operate machines and robots to load, sort, and pack our pasture-raised eggs.
• Keep sanitary conditions for optimal food production.
• Ensure our eggs meet the standards by carefully following our procedures and performing quality checks.
• Perform inspections on supplies and ready for use.
• Operate powered jacks to move supplies and product within the warehouse.
• Other duties as required. Things come up, but you’re flexible and you always find a way to make things work

What You Bring to the Table:

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English for safety and food quality reasons.
• 1 year of work experience in a production and or manufacturing environment.
• You’re able to frequently lift and/or move up to 60lbs.
• You’re committed to following all personal safety requirements rigorously.
• Be flexible and execute other duties and production tasks required.
• Basic math skills. Adding. Subtracting. Basic division.
