Job summary

Pete & Gerry’s Organics is seeking a reliable Flat Washer to join our team. In this role, you will clean and maintain pallets to meet hygiene and safety standards, contributing to high-quality egg production. You’ll participate in shift preparation, pallet inspection, and orderly packaging for shipments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a processing environment preferred.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Turn on and prepare wash tank at the start of shift.
• Inspect pallets for debris, stickers, glue, or other quality concerns.
• Stack cleaned pallets and label as required.
• Wrap pallet stacks to prepare for shipments.
• General housekeeping including cleaning eggs off the floor and organizing materials.
• Comply with all food safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

The Role at a Glance:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Flat Washer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining pallets and flats to ensure they meet our hygiene and safety standards. This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in keeping a clean, organized work environment.

• Inspect pallets as they exit machine for debris, stickers, glue, or any other quality concerns
• Stack cleaned pallets and label as required
• Wrap pallet stacks to prepare for shipments
• General housekeeping including cleaning eggs off the floor, organization of materials, emptying and cleaning of waste receptacles
• Comply with all food safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and process efficiency

Work Schedule & Hours:

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM - end of production
• Weekend hours as needed per production
• Shifts up to 12 hours per day, based on operational needs
• Start and end times may vary due to truck arrivals, order fulfillment, machine downtime, or production changes
• Flexibility required to adjust schedule as needed
