Job summary

Festival Foods is seeking a Processed Meat Manager in La Crosse, WI to lead the pre-packaged protein section. You'll oversee stocking, rotation, and merchandising of deli meats and pre-packaged proteins to ensure they are easy to find, fresh, and well-stocked daily.

You will ensure quality and safety, create attractive displays, and guide a team to meet daily goals. Strong communication and safety knowledge are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• WI Certified Food Manager License (Festival reimburses if obtained while employed)
• Ability to lead, coach and motivate others.
• Must possess great oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of technology and the use of a computer.
• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and associates.
• Knowledge and understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies.
• Must possess the ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to hazards on store premises.

Responsibilities

• Lead the processed meats area, overseeing stocking, rotation, and merchandising of deli meats and pre-packaged proteins.
• Ensure product quality and freshness by checking dates and packaging to meet safety standards.
• Create appealing displays using store plans, end caps, and product placement.
• Support and guide the team; set clear expectations and help associates grow.
• Step in when needed to assist Meat Department in the absence of the Department Manager.
• Assist guests in finding the best options for lunches, dinners, and grilling weekends.
• Demonstrate guest service, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Manage inventory and ensure accurate pricing with clearly labeled products.
• Maintain a clean workspace, backroom, cases, and sales floor with proper sanitation.
• Meet daily department goals for availability and full displays by 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
