Job summary

Shintech Inc. in Freeport, TX is seeking a Process Technician to monitor and operate critical equipment in a chemical manufacturing setting. You will support plant efficiency, safety, and environmental practices while performing routine inspections and maintenance.

Responsibilities include operating process controls, collecting samples for lab analysis, maintaining logs, and addressing deviations. The role requires hands-on problem solving and willingness to work rotating shifts, including

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years manufacturing or related military experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in Chemical Process/Chemical Technology or a Bachelor’s degree in lieu of experience.
• Ability to become certified in all process units within five years.
• Ability to be certified as a member of the Fire Brigade.

Responsibilities

• Operate process equipment and plant process control systems safely.
• Monitor plant performance by tracking process variables and conditions.
• Perform inspections, document findings, notify management, and take corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on process equipment.
• Perform basic lab analysis on product samples.
• Operate water and waste water treatment plants.
• Document readings on checklists and logbooks.
• Support safety and environmental procedures.
