Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Jamestown, ND is seeking a Process Technician II to perform chemical processing of aircraft parts, including cleaning, etching, chromate conversion coating, and anodizing, plus related laboratory tasks.

The onsite position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and may prefer process technician experience. You will follow work instructions, interpret drawings, ensure safety, document processes, and work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Process technician experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for chemical processing of detailed parts and final assemblies to current spec requirements.
• Be well informed about disposal of hazardous waste.
• Be aware of the chemicals you work with throughout the day.
• Be knowledgeable of customer/company specifications and international standards.
• Capable of processing acceptable parts and passing required evaluations for processes.
• Proper documentation of the process of parts to meet customer requirements.
• Demonstrate good housekeeping and safety practices.
• Work with minimal direction from area supervisor/team coordinator.
• Proficient in handling equipment applicable to the job.
• Cooperate and communicate with co-workers and other departments.
• Interpret and understand part drawings and illustrated planning.
• Follow work instructions to ensure proper processing of parts.
• Wear and use PPE related to the job.
