Job summary

Suncast Corporation in Illinois is seeking a Process Technician Helper to support injection and blow molding operations on 10–15 machines. This developmental role provides hands-on training under experienced technicians to learn setup, processing, safety and production requirements and to progress into a full Process Technician position.

You will help maintain safety and quality standards, assist with machine setup, troubleshoot basic issues, and train a material handler.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing or process technician support experience.
• Knowledge of process controls, equipment startup/shutdown procedures, and mechanical principles.
• Willingness to learn injection and blow molding processes and develop into a technician.
• Ability to read technical documents, safety procedures, and maintenance instructions.
• Strong communication and basic math skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Proficient with basic computer applications and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Set up injection and blow molding machines to meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Communicate with managers and coworkers on quality, safety, and productivity issues.
• Coordinate with molding leadership to ensure machine and labor utilization.
• Recommend changes to improve production methods and equipment performance.
• Report machine and equipment malfunctions to support personnel.
• Provide training and guidance to the material handler assigned to the presses.
• Learn in-house programs for BOM and shop order detail.
