Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience as a Manufacturing Production Technician in high-volume production environment.
• Experience with extrusion or blow molding equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical/mechanical basics.
• Able to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs individually and up to 70 lbs with team assist.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a clean, safe and climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor and adjust settings (heat control, water cooling, hydraulic pressure) to produce high-quality containers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Perform quality checks on bottle weight and dimensions to meet specifications.
• Collaborate with team on continuous improvement focused on safety, reliability, quality and scrap reduction.
• Participate in formal and side-by-side training with opportunities for career advancement.

• You Will Operate a variety of top-of-the-line extrusion & blow-molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, safe & climate-controlled environment
• Monitor equipment, making adjustments to settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure, etc.) to produce high-quality rigid plastic containers
• Troubleshoot equipment & perform routine preventative maintenance
• Assure Plastipak customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications, such as bottle weights & dimensions
• Join with your team to identify continuous improvement opportunities focused on safety, reliability, quality & scrap reduction
• Grow your skills through formal & side-by-side training, and have opportunities for career advancement

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Manufacturing Production Technician working with equipment used for high-volume production
• Working knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment is preferred
• Hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical mechanical basic knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot & problem solve
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and up to 70 lbs. with a team lift, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• You Have Ability to work the following schedule:1st or 3rd shift, Monday-Friday
