Job summary

Plastipak Packaging in Pineville, LA is seeking a Process Technician to operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment, ensuring high-quality plastic containers for consumer brands. You will monitor and adjust heat, cooling, and hydraulic settings in a climate-controlled facility.

Responsibilities include running equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine maintenance while verifying product specs such as weight and dimensions to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• One year of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Certification or secondary education in Industrial, Electrical, Robotic, Mechanical, or Automotive Technology.

• Operate extrusion and blow-molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor equipment and adjust settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure, etc.) to produce high-quality rigid plastic containers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Assure Plastipak customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications, such as bottle weights and dimensions.

You Will

• Operate a variety of top-of-the-line extrusion & blow-molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, safe & climate-controlled environment

You Have

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• One (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Certification or Secondary Education in Industrial, Electrical, Robotic, Mechanical, or Automotive Technology.
• Or, a combination of relevant work experience and education that demonstrates basic mechanical aptitude and an ability to perform the essential functions and duties of the position.
