Job summary

Semo Milling, LLC in Scott City, MO is seeking Process Technicians to join the mill production crew. Full-time position with 12-hour DAY or NIGHT shifts; swing shift not available.

You will monitor production processes, assist in maintenance, partner with lab personnel for QA, and ensure sanitation and safety standards are met.

Process Technician

Full-time Regular Operatives Scott City, MO, Scott City, MO, US

Salary Range: $20.00 To $21.25 Hourly

Semo Milling, LLC has an excellent opportunity for Process Technicians!
Candidates must be willing to work 12-hour dedicated DAY or NIGHT shift. NO SWING SHIFT!

I. Position Purpose

Reporting to the Mill Manager, this position is responsible for functioning as a team member of the mill production crew.

II. Position Responsibilities and Duties

Performing duties as directed by others to ensure the following duties are managed accurately and timely:

Mill Responsibilities

• Execute production process control as directed
• Assist in machinery maintenance and repair
• Work with Lab personnel to ensure quality control protocol is followed
• Maintain mill production area sanitation standards at all times
• Monitor key indicator for quality, productivity, and utilization
• Utilize the IMS and SPC where applicable
• Responsible for quality of work within area
• Maintain work environment in a clean and orderly fashion

Quality, Safety and Sanitation

• Follow all Personnel Safety policies/procedures, including the use of proper PPE, as well as ensure the safe use of required tools and equipment
• Follow all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, GMP's, Sanitation and general plant policies/procedures
• Inspect products for overall appearance according to customer and QA/Food Safety requirements and communicate with supervisor when non-conforming products are present
• Communicate all safety or environmental issues to supervisors/managers
• At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties
• Complete necessary paperwork for documenting process parameters and recordkeeping requirements

Education Level: High School Diploma or GED

Related Experience: Superior mechanical aptitude

IV. Physical and Mental Requirements

This position requires physical and mental alertness, attentiveness and stamina for the length of an entire 8-12 hour work shift each day. Occasional to frequent lifting of 50-100 pounds, frequent changing from a seated to standing position and occasional to frequent stair climbing are all physical demands of this position. This working environment for this position will include occasional to frequent work in both extreme cold and hot weather conditions.
