Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a process technician to oversee shift schedules and assist in running extrusion lines. The role requires hands-on setup, monitoring, and adjustment of production equipment to meet product specifications.

The successful candidate will start and stop lines, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance tasks while supervising line operators. A focus on safety, quality, and teamwork is essential for daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Implement production schedule for product specifications such as dimensions, colors, and profile.
• Responsible for starting and shutting down production lines
• Changes stacks & die's
• Clean die's
• Pull and clean co-extruder screws
• Sets and updates all extruder and co-extruder settings
• Set McGuire settings
• Setup embossers
• Assure scheduled line maintenance is completed
• Adjust water bath settings
• Conducts advanced troubleshooting
• Changes and clean vents
• Perform changeover tasks according to production schedule
• Performs board quality control checks
• Perform color testing
• Conducts trials
• Directs/Trains Line Operators, Lead Operator
• Ensures good Housekeeping
• Communicates supply needs to Material handler
• Follows all policies and procedures
• Maximizes plant efficiencies
• All other duties as assigned

• Successful completion of line Operator, Lead Operator and Process Technician tests
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $22 - $28/hr
