Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Process Technician to maximize uptime of OES production machines and address quality variations from customer specifications. We offer relocation assistance.

You will initiate molding machine startup, troubleshoot malfunctions, adjust materials or processes, and collaborate with maintenance and material handlers to sustain production targets and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with processing molding machines is required.
• Proficient with basic hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Initiates the start of molding machines and ensures proper functionality to support on-time production targets.
• Troubleshoots molding machine malfunctions or bottlenecks with material or process adjustments.
• Records machine malfunctions and adjustments as required.
• Communicates raw material adjustments to material handlers to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Conducts test runs of process or machine adjustments to ensure alignment with quality standards.
• Notifies Maintenance Technician of issues requiring a proposed solution.
• Assembles new or modified components under supervision.
• Assists the on-shift supervisor with operator assignments and machine cycle timing.

Job Summary

The Process Technician ensures maximum uptime of OES production machines by diagnosing and addressing quality issues and variations from customer specifications due to molding machines, processes, materials, or operator interactions. We do offer relocation assistance.

Job Responsibilities

• Initiates the start of molding machines and ensures proper functionality to support the on-time completion of production targets
• Troubleshoots molding machine malfunctions or bottlenecks that can be corrected by material changes or process adjustments
• Records the details of machine malfunctions and the appropriate adjustments as required
• Communicates and verifies necessary raw material adjustments to material handlers to improve production efficiency and accuracy
• Conducts test runs of process or machine adjustments to ensure proper machine functionality and alignment with quality standards
• Routinely changes machine inserts to customize product wording or labeling in accordance with customer specifications
• Notifies a Maintenance Technician of a machine electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic issue or problems that may require a fabricated solution
• Identifies parts or machines that need new parts or need to be replaced and places orders as necessary
• Assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies under the guidance of a technical Manager
• Performs routine analyses and calculations, and recommends changes in equipment, products or test methods
• Assists the on-shift supervisor with assigning operators to machines and provides direction to Machine Operator as to machine cycle time and operating multiple machines at a time
• Assists Material Handlers with troubleshooting material issues
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience with processing of molding machines necessary
• Lock out/tag out authorization (provided by OES)
• Designated Paulson online training as specified by supervision
• Proficient in use of basic hand tools, power tools, slide hammer (custom) and impact wrench
• Lifting requirements are generally up to 40 lbs.
