Job summary

Bloom Energy seeks an experienced Quality Engineer for the evening shift to ensure manufacturing quality across the front of the shop. You will work from 6pm to 6am, addressing defects, material issues, and process gaps with Process Engineering and production teams.

You will lead containment, perform routine audits, and drive countermeasures to prevent recurrence. Strong attention to safety, detail, and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED; associate degree, technical certs, or relevant coursework with 4+ years in manufacturing or related environment.
  • Hands-on experience with production processes in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and proactive approach to technical issues.
  • Ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to document clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Be the quality representative for evening shift.
  • Provide evening shift coverage (6pm to 6am) of quality engineering support across multiple functional areas for fuel cell manufacturing with focus on front of the shop.
  • Respond promptly to issues that could halt production lines.
  • Address excessive defects, defective incoming materials, or wrong recipes.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering and production leads to resolve issues and disposition materials.
  • Summarize findings and resolutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct routine process audits and ensure POAs are in place and followed.
  • Lead containment and disposition during special events.
  • Coordinate countermeasures with PE and production to prevent recurrence.
  • Escalate and clearly communicate to coworkers; send daily team reports.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Be the quality representative for evening shift

  • Respond promptly to issues that can potentially leading to production line down if not resolved
  • This include excessive defect found, defective incoming materials, wrong recipe used
  • Working closely with PE and production lead to resolve the issue and disposition of material
  • Summarize the finding and resolution to prevent further occurrence
  • Conduct routine process audit to prevent issues and make sure adequate POA’s are in place and followed
  • Lead containment and disposition when special event occur
  • Working with PE and production for countermeasure to prevent future occurrence.
  • escalation Communicate clearly to co-workers and send out daily reports to team
Skills and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); associate degree, technical certifications or relevant coursework with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing or related environment

Salary Ranges:

$28.02 - $40.32
