Job summary

Bloom Energy in California, Fremont is seeking an Evening Shift Quality Engineer to act as the quality representative for the evening shift across multiple manufacturing areas, focusing on front of the shop. Qualifications

  • Ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to wear PPE and work in controlled environments.

Responsibilities

  • Be the quality representative for evening shift.
  • Provide evening shift coverage (6pm to 6am) of quality engineering support across multiple functional areas for fuel cell manufacturing with focus on front of the shop.
  • Respond promptly to issues that could lead to production downtime.
  • Address excessive defects, defective incoming materials, or wrong recipe usage.
  • Work with Process Engineering and production leads to resolve and disposition material.
  • Summarize findings and resolutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct routine process audits to prevent issues and ensure POAs are followed.
  • Lead containment and disposition when special events occur.
  • Collaborate with PE and production for countermeasures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Escalate and clearly communicate to coworkers and send daily reports.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Be the quality representative for evening shift
  • Provide evening shift coverage (6pm to 6am) of quality engineering support across multiple functional areas for fuel cell manufacturing with special focus on front of the shop
  • Respond promptly to issues that can potentially leading to production line down if not resolved
  • This include excessive defect found, defective incoming materials, wrong recipe used
  • Working closely with PE and production lead to resolve the issue and disposition of material
  • Summarize the finding and resolution to prevent further occurrence
  • Conduct routine process audit to prevent issues and make sure adequate POA’s are in place and followed
  • Lead containment and disposition when special event occur
  • Working with PE and production for countermeasure to prevent future occurrence.
  • escalation Communicate clearly to co-workers and send out daily reports to team
Skills and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); associate degree, technical certifications or relevant coursework with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing or related environment
  • Hands on experience with production process
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to technical issues
  • Ability to follow direction, meet deadline, and collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written skill set
  • Adhere to safety requirements and ability to work in controlled environment wearing personal protective safety equipment
Salary Ranges:

$28.02 - $40.32
