Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is seeking a Process Technician to operate and maintain plastic extrusion blow molders and extrusion machines, ensuring products meet quality standards and customer expectations. Shifts available: 1st and 2nd with competitive hourly rates.

Direct Hire with benefits starting on day 61, plus comprehensive packages including 401k, PTO, medical, vision and dental. You will work with a team to optimize production, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating high-volume manufacturing equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to fix and adjust machines.
• Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and electromechanical systems.

Job description

As a Process Technicians you are responsible for operating and maintaining plastic injection blow molders and extrusion machines, ensuring our products meet all quality standards and customer expectations.

Shifts:

• 1st: 7am-3pm ($20.00/hr)
• 2nd: 3pm-11pm ($22.50/hr)

You Will

• Operating extrusion and blow-molding manufacturing production machines and equipment.

• Monitoring and adjusting production machine settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure) to keep production running smoothly.

• Troubleshooting machines and doing basic maintenance.

• Checking product quality to assure it meets customer specifications (e.g., bottle weights, dimensions).

• Teaming up with your co-workers to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

• Learning new skills with hands-on training and career development opportunities.

You Have

• Mechanical inclination – you like to fix things, use tools, work with your hands.

• At least 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment.

• Knowledge of extrusion or blow molding machines and equipment is a plus!

• Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electromechanical systems is a plus!

• Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation.
