Job summary

Simple Staffing Inc. is hiring for Plastipak Packaging on behalf of Plastipak Packaging. The Process Technician will operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment, monitor and adjust machine settings, and troubleshoot issues to ensure products meet quality standards.

The role supports continuous improvement, with hands-on training and career development opportunities. Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and 12-hour day/night options, with benefits starting after the probation period.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on ability.
• At least 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment.
• Knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment is a plus.
• Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electromechanical systems is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Simple Staffing is hiring for this position on behalf of Plastipak Packaging

As a Process Technicians you are responsible for operating and maintaining plastic injection blow molders and extrusion machines, ensuring our products meet all quality standards and customer expectations.

Shifts:

• 1st: 7am-3pm ($20.00/hr)
• 2nd: 3pm-11pm ($22.50/hr)
• 12 hour day/night ($20/$22; working a 3-2-2-3 schedule)

You Will

• Operating extrusion and blow-molding manufacturing production machines and equipment.
• Monitoring and adjusting production machine settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure) to keep production running smoothly.
• Troubleshooting machines and doing basic maintenance.
• Checking product quality to assure it meets customer specifications (e.g., bottle weights, dimensions).
• Teaming up with your co-workers to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

You Have

• Mechanical inclination – you like to fix things, use tools, work with your hands.
• At least 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment.
• Knowledge of extrusion or blow molding machines and equipment is a plus!
• Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electromechanical systems is a plus!
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation.
