Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking an experienced Senior Process & System Engineer in Painted Post, New York, to lead the development and manufacturing readiness of complex production processes. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in process engineering and demonstrated ability to drive technology transfer from R&D to full-scale manufacturing.

The position requires strong skills in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, along with proficiency in statistical tools like Minitab. The ideal applicant will be responsible for managing external partnerships and ensuring efficient process design and operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applied engineering experience in process engineering or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience leading manufacturing scale-up and technology transfer from R&D to full production.
• Familiarity with equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), control plans, and ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end manufacturing process development and validate processes.
• Apply systems engineering principles for process design and operations.
• Manage external equipment suppliers and communicate technical concepts effectively.
