Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant field experience preferred.
• 1–5 years’ experience as a Process Engineer is a plus.
• Experience with multi-die cold heading equipment is desired.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical documents.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to present technical information clearly.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Global Shop preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and independent decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and personalities.

Job description

We are seeking a Process Support Engineer to join a high-volume metal forming manufacturing environment. This role focuses on developing, documenting, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements are met. The Process Support Engineer troubleshoots production issues, implements process improvements, and works closely with operations, quality, and tooling teams to support efficient, reliable production.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in cold heading machinery, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support operations by troubleshooting, setting up, and running cold heading machinery as needed
• Assist in supervising production employees and executing manufacturing plans
• Develop, document, and maintain setup instructions, process documentation, capacity models, and operating procedures
• Provide training to production and operations teams on processes and setups
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including corrective actions, error-proofing, and efficiency improvements
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, company procedures, and quality standards
• Communicate effectively with production, tooling, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or 5+ years of relevant field experience
• 1–5 years’ experience as a Process Engineer preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply
• Experience with multi-die cold heading equipment (e.g., National, Sacma, Hatebur, or equivalent)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical documents
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to present technical information clearly
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Global Shop preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and independent decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and personalities
