Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) in Midland, Texas seeks a seasoned Process Safety Specialist to lead our process safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance across PSM and RMP. You will advise on standards, conduct hazard analyses, lead investigations, train stakeholders, and partner with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to strengthen a safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or HES field, or high school with 5 years in process industry.
• Successful Marathon Petroleum HESS internship.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license for work-related travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead process safety programs to ensure PSM/RMP regulatory compliance.
• Advise on interpretation of standards including RAGAGEP.
• Maintain and improve process safety standards/plans.
• Coordinate PHA, LOPA, MOC, and risk calibration activities.
• Collaborate with facilities to ensure timely closure of safety recommendations.
• Lead/incidents investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Develop reports communicating metrics and trends.
• Support regulatory inspections and audits.
