Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Process Health, Safety & Environment Specialist to support PSM and HSE programs at the Rayne blend plant in Louisiana. You will drive regulatory compliance, support operational excellence, and strengthen safety culture by coordinating process safety, environmental, and occupational health initiatives.

You will collaborate with site leadership to implement robust MOC, PSSR, PSI, and KPI processes, conducting audits and investigations to prevent incidents and ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field required.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing, industrial environments, or process safety roles.
• Knowledge of state and federal process safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience with root cause investigation techniques.
• Knowledge of REGAGEP and Louisiana DEQ requirements.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing process safety, health, safety and environmental programs to maintain full compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare regulatory plans and procedures (PSM, PHA, SPCC, RMP, RCRA, Chemical Hygiene, Waste Management).
• Prepare EPA and LDEQ reports such as TRI, Tier II, Annual Waste Summary.
• Lead incident investigations and develop corrective and preventative actions.
• Conduct self-assessments and audits to ensure conformance with PSM and Baker Hughes HSE systems.
• Coordinate MOC and PSSR records and procedures; oversight of PSI and KPI data.
• Provide regulatory interpretation and technical support on HSE matters and site projects.
