Job summary

Nammo Energetics in Perry, Florida seeks a Process Safety Engineer to identify, evaluate, and mitigate process hazards in manufacturing operations. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Quality and EHS to ensure safe, compliant processes while supporting production goals.

The ideal candidate has experience leading PHAs and applying risk assessment methods in manufacturing environments, with on-site work in Perry and some travel to Norway within 12-18 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline related to process safety.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Experience leading or participating in PHAs and risk assessments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead andfacilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) using HAZOP, What-If, FMEA, and LOPA.
• Support Zero Harm through safety audits, observations, and job safety analyses.
• Conduct risk assessments for new equipment, processes, and capital projects.
• Assist Management of Change (MOC) with safety impact evaluations.
• Develop PSI, P&IDs, and operating procedures; maintain technical docs.
• Identify hazards and recommend engineering controls to reduce risk.
• Participate in design reviews, commissioning, and readiness assessments.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
