Job summary

Koch is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to help multiple sites build risk assessments and own the PHA program, focusing on data integration to improve risk understanding. This role will collaborate across sites and process safety elements.

Based near Houston or Victoria, TX with a hybrid arrangement and travel about 35% (primarily US/Canada). You will lead PHA facilitation, drive consistency, and support MOC, Incident Investigation, and other safety programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with process plant exposure.
• Experience with PHA and risk assessment methodologies (HAZOP/LOPA).
• Ability to influence and coach site personnel and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and risk assessment capability with site personnel.
• Lead cross-site efforts to advance risk assessment and PHA programs.
• Provide on-site PHA facilitation or scribe support as needed.
• Benchmark to improve PHA performance and develop guidance.
• Frame unit process safety risk using available site data.
• Support day-to-day process safety across multiple sites (MOC, Siting, RMP).
