Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation seeks a Process Operations Technician to join our operations team in the United States. The role focuses on the safe and efficient operation of process equipment and systems.

You will perform duties with safety in mind, troubleshoot and maintain equipment, monitor production data, and support continuous improvement in a surface mine plant setting. Strong English communication, the ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, and willingness to work in varying

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred).
• Prior experience in industrial operations or water treatment beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to work in a surface mine plant setting with exposure to environmental conditions.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
• Must pass pre-employment and ongoing random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties with a focus on safety, environmental stewardship, and best operating practices.
• Operate and maintain process equipment and systems according to procedures and supervisor instructions.
• Troubleshoot operational problems, complete repairs, and perform preventative maintenance duties.
• Monitor and record operational data, including production rates and inventory levels.
• Conduct visual inspections and perform necessary maintenance on equipment.
• Demonstrate competency in operating fixed and mobile equipment.
• Continuously seek to improve work environment and processes.
