Job summary

OceanaGold Haile Processing in Kershaw, SC, seeks an experienced Plant Trainer/Onboarding Specialist to develop and deliver training for process plant personnel. You will lead onboarding, safety training, and competency assessments for operators, technicians, and supervisors.

The role emphasizes hands-on and classroom training, curriculum development, and collaboration with engineers and safety teams to keep materials current. 12-hour shift adaptability and strong safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in plant operations, including crushing, grinding, flotation, CIL, elution, and mobile support equipment.
• Minimum of 1 year’ experience in LOTOTO and Permit to Work systems in mining or heavy industrial settings, including strong safety and energy isolation knowledge.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an equipment trainer or instructional role with ability to develop curriculum, presentations, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding training for new employees, focusing on plant layout, circuit overviews, P&ID references, and operator responsibilities.
• Develop and deliver training curriculum, lesson plans, and competency assessments; create SOPs and troubleshooting guides.
• Manage training records in INX and maintain 5000-23 forms; train on equipment used in the process plant.
