Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Process Piping Designer to join our team in Austin, TX. The role focuses on layout of process and utility equipment for food and beverage facilities, with extensive 2D AutoCAD and 3D CADWorx/Plant3D work, and field coordination.

You'll create piping drawings from P&IDs and equipment arrangements, coordinate across disciplines, and contribute to bid packages and construction drawings. Travel to client sites is required up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
• 4–7 years of piping and equipment layout experience in food & beverage facilities or similar.
• 4–7 years of AutoCAD experience.
• 4–7 years of 3D experience using CADWorx, Plant3D or similar; Revit piping experience.
• Familiarity with XREFS and basic drawing setup.
• Ability to interpret PIDs and translate to piping layouts.
• Travel to client sites up to 25% per year.

Responsibilities

• Layout of process and utility equipment in 2D/3D for food/beverage facilities.
• Create piping drawings from P&IDs and equipment arrangements.
• Develop and update 2D/3D drawings from red-line markups.
• Coordinate with architecture, structure, and electrical teams.
• Prepare drawings for bid packaging and construction.
• Assist construction managers with field coordination.
