Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Process Engineer to design and build food and beverage processing facilities for diverse clients across the country. You will contribute from concept through commissioning, coordinating with engineering, CAD, vendors, and clients to ensure design integrity and on-time delivery.

The role requires 4–7 years in process design, P&ID development, equipment sizing, and project scheduling, with significant travel (30–50%) to sites and offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or process engineering.
• 4–7 years of experience developing process designs for food and beverage facilities.
• 4–7 years of experience preparing P&IDs and process flow diagrams.
• 4–7 years of experience sizing and specifying process and process utility equipment.
• 4–7 years of experience developing project scope, budget and schedules.
• Experience with professional services, process engineering, and food & beverage firms is a plus.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitary design principles and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop process design basis and select unit operations.
• Coordinate with other project disciplines (engineers, designers, architects).
• Prepare process flow and P&IDs; create process flow diagrams.
• Oversee equipment installation and factory commissioning support.
• Provide onsite construction start-up and commissioning assistance.
• Generate equipment performance requirements and client proposals.
• Lead process engineering on specific projects as main client contact.
