Job summary

gategroup seeks a Transport Lead for North America to own the end-to-end transport process family, including routing, loading, dispatch, sequencing, and last mile operations. You will design, test, deploy, and govern standards that align with GPS and service delivery.

The role reports into the Service Delivery transport domain and offers competitive compensation with a 10% incentive potential, plus comprehensive benefits. Location is Reston, VA, USA.

• Support data-driven improvements with BI dashboards and route analytics.

Responsible for designing, standardizing, testing, deploying, and governing routing, loading, dispatch, sequencing, and last mile transport processes. This role integrates RPO–SD responsibilities specific to Service Delivery—translated into the transport domain.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate: $90,000- $95,000/Per Year

This position is eligible for incentive pay of 10% of the annual base salary, dependent upon successful attainment of company, team, and individual goals.

Main Responsibilities

• Process Design & Governance Define end‑to‑end transport process standards (routing, dispatch, loading, return flows). Develop SOPs, workflows, KPIs, audit controls, and standard work documents. Maintain the transport process architecture and ensure alignment with GPS. Conduct structured process testing and validation before deployment.
• Digital Tools & Automation Define requirements for routing engines, telematics, mobile devices, and loading tools. Support technology pilots and evaluate performance vs. expected benefits. Work with BI teams to deploy dashboards and analytics for route performance.
• Training & Knowledge Transfer Develop training materials for routing, dispatch, and loading processes. Conduct train‑the‑trainer and site‑level coaching sessions. Maintain transport process documentation in the centralized knowledge repository.
• Performance Optimization & Audits Perform route diagnostics, error analysis, and productivity reviews. Conduct regular transport audits and gap assessments. Implement corrective action plans with hubs and transport leaders.
• Equipment/Tools Governance Define and maintain specifications for transport equipment and digital tools. Ensure HSSE&Q compliance and operational suitability.
