Job summary

kdc/one is hiring a Process Optimization Engineer to join our Groveport, OH production team. This hands-on role focuses on improving manufacturing efficiency, quality, and throughput on the plant floor.

You will lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma, partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering, and use production data to drive measurable results. This position is 100% onsite on first shift.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma and root-cause analysis.
• Willingness to work on the production floor.
• Experience in cosmetics/high-volume manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

At kdc/one, we manufacture products for some of the most recognized beauty and personal care brands. We're looking for a hands-on Process Optimization Engineer who enjoys working alongside production teams, tackling challenges, and making improvements that actually stick.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Find ways to improve manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and product quality.

• Troubleshoot production challenges and identify the root cause of recurring issues.

• Reduce downtime, waste, and process variation.

• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving tools.

• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to improve processes.

• Use production data to identify opportunities and measure results.

• Help implement new processes, equipment improvements, and best practices.

What We're Looking For:

• Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

• A strong understanding of process optimization and continuous improvement.

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, or similar methodologies.

• Someone who is comfortable spending time on the production floor, not just behind a desk.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with different teams.

• Experience in cosmetics, personal care, chemicals, food, or other high-volume manufacturing environments is a plus.
