Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a Technician, Operating to support our Louisiana plant operations. The role focuses on monitoring and operating the production process, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

You will complete paperwork and communicate shift updates via electronic logs while maintaining a cost-efficient operation. The ideal candidate brings strong multi-tasking ability, a minimum high school diploma, and relevant industrial experience; willingness to work all shifts and overtime

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Experience in plant operations or similar industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret operating procedures and safety rules.
• Must be able to multi-task and work with teams in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, inspect, start up and shut down production processes.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of unit operations and certify in the assigned units.
• Follow SOPs, quality standards and governmental/environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with maintenance, procurement, and other units to optimize performance.
• Record activities and report issues via electronic logs; participate in safety meetings.
