Job summary

Zeeland Farm Services, Inc. is seeking a Process Operator PGP to monitor and operate processing equipment in our Clearfield, PA facility. You will ensure production quality and adhere to safety policies while maintaining accurate production logs and communicating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 1–2 years in ethanol operation or related fields, HS diploma, and a willingness to pass background, drug, and respirator tests. Day/night shifts and a 3-2-2 schedule are possible.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent.
• Experience: 1-2 years in ethanol operation or related field preferred.
• Post-secondary education or certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of ethanol production processes and technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate processing equipment to meet production plans.
• Maintain production logs daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operation.
• Participate in projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support QC policies and procedures with the lab.

Job Summary:

Responsible for monitoring and operating processing equipment and assures production quality standards are met.

Schedule:

3-2-2 Schedule, 2 days on and 2 days off working every other weekend

Permanent Day or Night Shifts

This job does require the passing of a background check, Drug Test, and Respirator fit test

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Constantly monitor and control plant operations to carry out the established operations plan, anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain complete and accurate production logs on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis of key variables and operates plant within established parameters. Completes written shift reports and communicates essential items to management as needed.
• Communicates regularly with all other employees and departments and assists all other employees and departments as required for efficient plant operation.
• Participates in projects as needed or assigned by management that improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Communicates directly with QC laboratory and participates in carrying out plant QC policies and procedures. Actively participates in quality assurance/quality control program.
• Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
• Abides by all safety, health, environmental and food/feed safety policies, and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workstation/environment at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

• Education: High School or Equivalent
• Experience:1-2 Years in ethanol operation or a related field preferred.
• A Post-Secondary education and or technical trade certificate is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of the ethanol production process and technology is preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit.
• Frequently required to climb to levels of 125 feet or more, confined and harnessed. Use of stairs and ladders are required.
• Occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more.
• Operate in an office and production environment. Production environment could include frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme heat or cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the production environment is usually very loud.
