Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Heap Leach Operator to support safe and efficient operations on a 4-day, 10-hour schedule. You will build, dismantle and replace panels, connect elomine, deploy drip emitters, and monitor leach pad performance as part of a safety-first team.

The role requires working outdoors in all weather, lifting up to 50 pounds, and abiding by PPE and site safety standards; weekend work is possible and strong communication with supervisors is essential.

Qualifications

• Must meet respirator standards and use respirators when required.
• Prior process operations experience preferred (mill, crusher, heap leach or plant).
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Can work safely with chemicals including lime, cyanide and caustic.
• Experience working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, in English, using standard forms of business communication.
• Must have good safety and attendance records.
• Willing to work weekends as scheduled.
• Candidate is able to routinely lift 50 pounds.
• Valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Works in a safe and efficient manner. Maintains safe attitude and looks out for others.
• Participates in good housekeeping in all areas including, shoveling of crusher spillage, maintaining clean work environment in equipment and light vehicles.
• Participates in weekly assignments of cleaning lunchroom and rest rooms.
• Performs daily walk around inspections of work area and light vehicle/equipment inspections.
• Assists with piping of the heap leach pad in a safe and efficient manner.
• Shovels and hoses down areas for cleanup in a safe manner.
• Fuels light vehicles and support equipment without spillage.
• Performs light maintenance such as greasing equipment.
• Drags yellow mine pipe and emitter tubing with assistance.
• Travels independently in light vehicles to and from heap leach and lay down yards around mobile equipment in a safe manner.
• Understands supplies and tools required for jobs and can safely and efficiently gather supplies and tools as directed.

Job Description:

General Objectives:

Reporting to the Process Supervisor, the Heap Leach Operator typicallyworksa 4-day, 10-hour schedule.The Operator builds, dismantles, andreplaces panels, connectsyelomine, deploys drip emitters, fuses HDPE pipes, adjusts flows and changesfiltersandmonitorsthe overall performance of leachpadas needed in an efficient and safe manner.

• Ability to work safely around mobile equipment.

• Can describe issues with work area to aid operations and direct maintenance work.

• Communicateswith coworkers and supervisors in a professional and courteous manner.

• Must be a self-starter and can complete work with little or no direct supervision.

OtherRequirements/Experience:
