The Operator Heap Leach 1 is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of heap leach circuits and associated systems at SSR Mining’s Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) Gold Mine. This entry-level role assists with the operation, inspection, and maintenance of heap leach systems while supporting safe and efficient gold recovery. The Operator will perform routine inspections, assist with heap leach piping and basic leaching activities, monitor equipment and systems for abnormal operating conditions, and support day-to-day process operations. This position is expected to follow all applicable State and Federal safety and environmental regulations, as well as SSR Mining policies and procedures.
0–1 year of previous heap leach experience. Previous mining experience is preferred but not required. Mobile equipment experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team. Willingness and ability to learn heap leach operations and follow established operating and safety procedures. Must complete required training and successfully pass the Basic Leach Pad Operator Circuit test within 120 days of hire, in accordance with the site’s Line of Progression system.
This position is based at SSR Mining’s Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) Gold Mine. The mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 to 10,600 feet above sea level. Employees routinely work at various locations throughout this elevation range. Weather conditions can change frequently and may become severe. Must be able to perform assigned work while exposed to varying weather conditions and high elevations. Employees are expected to arrive at the worksite with appropriate gear suitable for current and changing weather conditions. Must be able to work safely and productively as a member of a team. For applicants residing in CO, the hourly range for this role depending on tech level is from $33.18/hr. to $46.59/hr.
