Job summary

Acara Solutions in Charlotte, NC is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to join a team focused on repairing and refurbishing industrial components for continued service. You will operate a range of manual machines and shop equipment, perform material handling, and help ensure quality and safety throughout production.

The role requires 2+ years of experience with manual machines, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain a crane and forklift license.

Job Title: Process Operator/Crane

Location: Charlotte, NC

Employment: Contract (12 months) Potential to go Direct

Industry: Manufacturing

Compensation: $ 23.57/hr

Schedule: 40 hours /week

SHIFT: 4 X 10 NIGHTS Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM *Will need to train on First Shift (5:30 AM - 4:00 PM) Monday - Thursday for 2 to 3 months*

What You'll Do:

• Operate manual machines and shop equipment, including mills, grit blasting equipment, furnaces, rollers, and spot welders.
• Safely move products and materials using forklifts, cranes, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Use air-powered tools and perform component preparation while following quality and safety standards.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, depth gauges, and pi tape to verify specifications.
• Support daily production activities, maintain equipment, and follow established procedures for material handling and part refurbishment.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School or Diploma or GED
• 2+ year of experience in operating manual machines and industrial shop equipment, including mills, grit blasting equipment.

What Sets You Apart:

• Pass an assessment to demonstrate hand skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Capability to operate manual machines; mills, grit blasting, etc.
• Obtain crane and Fork Truck license
• Capable to operate of air tools, such as grinders, air hammers, polymer dispenser, etc
• Able to change our remnant blast/coating media 50-gallon barrels
• Willing and capable of working outside
• Capable of being fitted with respirator.

Additional Information:

• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check

• Must be able to lift 50lbs
