Job summary

Aleron is seeking a Warehouse Workshop Technician in Glenwillow, OH to assemble/disassemble and test vacuum pumps according to a weekly plan. Temp (3 months) with potential direct placement. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration in a semi-conductor environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing or similar field.
  • Ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Good PC literacy; SAP knowledge an advantage.
  • Ability to read drawings, schematics, and published specifications.
  • Some knowledge of English is a huge advantage.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, time flexibility, detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews HS2 documentation on daily basis.
  • Responsible for using the correct PPE, obeys required BAM processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for meeting the daily production targets with respect to quality, volume and efficiency.
  • Collaborates with other zone members and the Zone Leader to establish priorities and meet due dates.
  • Inspects parts, assemblies, and systems per Work Instructions and drawings.
  • Performs leak tests and assists in troubleshooting failures.
  • Follows safety rules and maintains housekeeping and 6S standards.
  • Completes required paperwork accurately and raises issues at SIM2 meetings.

Compensation: $20-23/hour

Schedule: 6am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri)

About the Opportunity:

The Workshop Technician is responsible for assembling/disassembling and testing of vacuum pumps according to a weekly plan. Assists in and cooperates with team members on Corrective Action Reports as required.

What You’ll Do:
  • Reviews HS2 documentation on daily basis.

  • Inspects parts, assemblies, and systems. Follows inspection criteria defined in Work Instructions, drawings, schematics, or other technical data as required.
  • Daily checks calibrated tooling prior to its use.
  • Performs leak tests and assists in troubleshooting leak test failures.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Follows and complies with assigned tasks.
  • Promptly reports problems to management and seeks assistance towards resolution of more complex problems.
  • Maintains working area in accordance with good housekeeping practices and 6S standards as defined by management.
  • Maintains established quality and time standards. Provides input and feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Completes all required paperwork accurately and according to work instructions.
  • Raises issues, observations at SIM2 meetings.
  • Follows the Kanban system.
  • Obeys VTPS rules/standards.
  • Working under prescribed safe handling procedures.
  • Through observation of work area(s), is alert to and avoids unsafe behaviors and conditions or other hazards. Reports any observed hazards to team lead, and supervisor. Participates in corrective measures when appropriate or authorized. Maintains work areas and keeps areas free of hazards.
  • Reports all injuries and/or near misses to management immediately. Participates in and cooperates with accident investigations.
  • Fully participates in assigned training programs. Attempts to perform only those tasks for which proper training has been received. Notifies Zone Leader if faced with a task which is potentially hazardous to self or co-workers due to inadequate training or lack of appropriate PPE.
