Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative seeks a STUDENT INTERN - PROCESS OPERATIONS at the Dakota Gasification Company in Beulah, ND. The internship starts around May 17, 2027 and offers hands-on project-based experience within Operations, on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

You will assist in monitoring process operations, implementing control decisions, and performing routine maintenance while adhering to safety guidelines and department priorities.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Process Plant or Power Plant Technology program and have freshman year completed.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
• Must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor readings, field controls, temperatures, pressures, flows and levels.
• Respond to process changes, upsets, and emergencies to support operations.
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety, security and procedural guidelines.
• Support Family Night events and other departmental duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
