Job summary

Chiyoda Usa Corporation in Greencastle, IN is seeking a full-time Injection Molding Operator to support molding operations at 2200 SR 240 East.

You will setup molds, run processes, monitor quality, and perform routine maintenance. The role requires at least 6 months of injection molding experience and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; great attention to safety and detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in injection molding required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Environmental and Safety Rules.
• Read and follow Standard Work Instructions.
• Install dies on machine according to work instructions.
• Assist in modification of existing procedures.
• Mold setup and related ancillary equipment handling.
• Perform mold changes.
• Operate forklift.
• Use a crane hoist to perform mold changes and maintenance of molding machines.
• Process molding parameters to achieve quality parts and optimize cycle times.
• Respond to machine alarms promptly.
• Maintain a clean work area.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $19.00 - $20.00 Hourly

Travel Percentage: None

Description

Responsible for press set ups, maintenance of injections processes to meet standard cycle times and quality requirements.

Job duties include, but not limited to:

• Follow all Environmental and Safety Rules
• Read and follow Standard Work Instructions
• Install dies on machine according to work instructions
• Assist in modification of existing procedures
• Responsible for molding machine set up including ancillary equipment as related to the molding process
• Perform mold changes
• Operate forklift
• Use a crane hoist to perform mold changes and maintenance of molding machines
• Process molding parameters to achieve quality parts and optimize cycle times
• Use troubleshooting skills to improve and develop repeatable molding processes
• Respond to machine alarms in a timely manner
• Responsible for proper handling and care of all materials, molds, and tooling
• Maintain a clean work area
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months’ experience of in injection molding is required
