Job summary

Midland-Marvel Recruiters, LLC is seeking a Process Technician in Columbus, OH to oversee thermoplastic injection mold processes and the New Product Development qualification of new tools. Plastic injection molding experience is required.

First shift: Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:30pm. Open to relocation. Potential sign-on bonus. You will collaborate with Production and Quality teams to ensure molded parts meet quality standards and support mold changes and material changes as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Working knowledge of injecting molding process.
• Working knowledge of basic maintenance.
• Working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
• Prefer candidates with Scientific Mold Process training.
• Good mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted throughout the assigned shift.
• Ability to distinguish between different colors and shades of color.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work overtime, sometimes on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for injection molding and ancillary functions.
• Performs mold setups, processing support and samples.
• Cleaning and inspection of injection molding and auxiliary equipment.
• Work with Production and Quality Manager to solve customer quality problems.
• Tracking and reporting efficiencies daily.
• Maintenance and repair of all injection molding equipment and tooling.
• Uphold quality policy as established by all departments and personnel.
• Ensure new job setups are done correctly prior to starting machine for production.
• Work with production and quality departments to ensure molded parts meet quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot molding processing problems and make necessary parameter changes to the injection molding machines.
• Document process adjustments and communicate with quality department.
• Support mold change and material change processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Other duties as required.
