Job summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Process Mechanic to join our Maintenance team at 272 Patton Farm Road, Stuarts Draft, VA. Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all equipment necessary to the manufacturing function in the process area.

This role offers competitive weekly pay, a shift with a $1.00/hour differential, profit-sharing, 401(k) with match, and comprehensive health plans. Applicants should have pneumatics, blueprints reading, and LEAN-focused maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge and thorough understanding of pneumatics, power transmissions (chain drives, e.g.), pumps, valves and bearing application
• Technical maintenance training
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical equipment issues
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and drawings
• Accurate measuring ability
• Ability to furnish personal tools as required on the Process Mechanic tool list
• Demonstrated ability to promote continuous process improvement and LEAN principles

• Ability to obtain and maintain an L.T.O. Lift Truck Operator license
• Electrical training at a technical school
• Basic welding and fabrication
• Basic machine shop
