Job summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Process Mechanic to join our Maintenance team in Stuarts Draft, VA. Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all equipment necessary to run the manufacturing function in the process area.

Read blueprints, demonstrate LEAN practices, and promote continuous improvement. The role requires four years of industrial maintenance experience and relevant technical training. Enjoy a second shift schedule and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge and thorough understanding of pneumatics, power transmissions (chain drives, e.g.), pumps, valves and bearing application.
• Technical maintenance training and ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical issues.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and drawings and measure accurately.
• Demonstrated promotion of continuous process improvement and LEAN principles.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment necessary for the manufacturing function in the process area.
• Perform other related duties as needed and assist with LEAN initiatives.
• Furnish personal tools as required on the Process Mechanic tool list.
