McKee Foods Corporation is seeking a Production Associate, 2nd Shift to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level position offers on-the-job training in a modern facility on our high-speed production line, ensuring efficient and precise packaging of our snack cakes.

You will perform basic line setup, inspect product quality, load and unload materials, palletize cases, and operate power hoists and electric pallet jacks.

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and safe work practices are essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds.
• Read, write, and perform basic math; record product data.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor line equipment set ups and move product trays.
• Monitor product quality and remove defects to meet targets.
• Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
• Case-packing/palletizing: place cartons into shipping cases and stack on pallets.
• Operate power hoists and electric pallet jacks to lift heavy objects.

Pay

$22.62 - $23.88/ hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Plus $1.00 / hr shift premium for 2nd Shift hours

2nd Shift (Sunday - Thursday, 1:50 PM - 10:00 PM OR 2:20 PM - 10:30 PM)

Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Production Associate, 2nd Shift to join our Manufacturing team. This is an entry-level Packaging Technician or Make-up Monitor position at our bakery that requires no previous experience. We offer on- the- job training in our modern manufacturing facility. In this role, you’ll play an important role on our high-speed production line ensuring the efficient and precise packaging of our snack cakes. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Performing minor line equipment set ups, moving product trays, conducting product inspections
• Monitoring: inspecting product quality and removing defects to meet quality and productivity targets
• Loading and Unloading: moving materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
• Case-packing/palletizing: placing cartons into shipping cases and/or stacking shipping cases onto pallets
• Operating: operating power hoists and electric pallet jacks to lift heavy objects

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrates a solid work history reflected in reliable attendance, safe work practices, effective job performance, adaptability and teamwork
• Proven ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to perform repetitive motions while sitting or standing for duration of entire shift
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally move more than 100 pounds (with or without accommodation)
• Ability to read, write, and do basic math
• Record product data using a computer
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, troubleshooting issues as they arise
• Ability to learn new processes, procedures, and equipment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Maintain a clean work area and practice good personal hygiene
• Keeps waste to a minimum while ensuring products meet quality specifications and food safety standards
• Follow proper safety procedures at all times. This includes wearing approved uniform such as hearing protection, hairnets, slip-resistant shoes, etc.

Preferred Qualifications
