Job summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Process Mechanic for the 2nd shift in Stuarts Draft, VA. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment in the process area and support continuous improvement initiatives on the maintenance team.

Qualified candidates will have strong pneumatics, power transmission, readings from blueprints, and the ability to measure precisely. Lift Truck Operator certification is preferred; four years of experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of pneumatics, power transmissions (chain drives, etc.), pumps, valves and bearing applications.
• Technical maintenance training is required.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical equipment issues.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and drawings; accurate measuring ability; furnish personal tools per the Process Mechanic tool list.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all equipment necessary to the manufacturing function in the process area.
• Perform related duties as needed to support maintenance and plant operations.
