McKee Foods Corporation is seeking a Process Mechanic to join our Maintenance team in Stuarts Draft, Virginia. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment in the process area to support production goals.

The position requires pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, and bearing knowledge, plus reading blueprints and using measurement tools. Shift is 2nd with on-site work and a $1 shift differential; standard benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of pneumatics, power transmissions, pumps, valves, and bearings.
• Technical maintenance training completed.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and drawings.
• Accurate measuring skills and tool ownership.
• Promote continuous process improvement with LEAN principles.

Pay

$32.83 - $38.29 / hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Plus shift differential of $1.00 / hour for any hours worked on 2nd Shift

Schedule

2nd Shift (Sunday - Thursday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.)

Required Qualifications

• Working knowledge and thorough understanding of pneumatics, power transmissions (chain drives, e.g.), pumps, valves and bearing application
• Technical maintenance training
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical equipment issues
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and drawings
• Accurate measuring ability
• Ability to furnish personal tools as required on the Process Mechanic tool list
• Demonstrated ability to promote continuous process improvement and LEAN principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Sketching ability
• Four years of industrial maintenance experience
• Experience as a Maintenance Utility at McKee Foods
• Hydraulics experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain an L.T.O. Lift Truck Operator license
• Electrical training at a technical school
• Basic welding and fabrication
• Basic machine shop
