Job summary

Mmsteam in East Peoria, IL is hiring for a Maintenance Technician I on the 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM). The role offers $20.00–$22.00 per hour plus shift differential and full-time benefits with overtime opportunities.

You will learn to maintain industrial equipment and robotic systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance on automated production lines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on technical experience preferred (maintenance, manufacturing, robotics).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools and reading measurements.
• Safety-minded with dependable attendance and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and robotic systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and robotic issues and repairs as needed.
• Replace belts, bearings, chains, rollers, and other wear components.
• Support repair of conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Record work in CMMS and maintain a clean, safe work area.

As a Maintenance Technician I, you'll work alongside experienced technicians while learning to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, industrial robots, and automated production systems. A Day in the Life

Every shift begins with a team safety meeting to review priorities, discuss safety concerns, and prepare for the work ahead.

Throughout your shift, you may:

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and robotic systems
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and robotic equipment issues
• Replace belts, bearings, chains, rollers, filters, and other wear components
• Help repair conveyors, motors, pumps, and gearboxes
• Support maintenance and recovery of automated equipment and industrial robots
• Assist with hydraulic and pneumatic system repairs
• Complete general building and facility maintenance
• Respond to equipment breakdowns alongside experienced techniciansRecord completed work in the CMMS maintenance system
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• 1-2 years of maintenance, mechanical, manufacturing, automotive, robotics, or other hands-on technical experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Willingness to learn industrial maintenance and robotics technology
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or automation systems is helpful
• Basic knowledge of industrial robots, robotic equipment, or automated manufacturing processes preferred
• Ability to read measuring devices and follow written work instructions
• Safety-minded with dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in an industrial environment

• Maintenance or technical certification
• Manufacturing or warehouse maintenance experience
• Basic robotics or automation experience
