SSR Mining Inc. is seeking a Process Maintenance Mechanic in Valmy, NV. The role supports maintenance planning and execution to minimize downtime across fixed plant and crushing systems, with 4 ten-hour shifts schedule.

You will inspect, repair, and maintain pumps, crushers, conveyors, and related equipment, while adhering to safety and environmental policies. Qualified candidates have at least 2 years in fixed plant or crusher maintenance, plus welding skills.

With an industry-leading pipeline of projects, strong financial positioning, and talented employees, we look forward to our bright future!**Job Description:****General Objectives:**Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Process Mechanic typically works 4-ten hour shifts 6am to 4pm Mon-Thur (subject to change). The Mechanic assists with maintaining equipment and ensures all backlog work is completed in a timely manner to avoid major equipment downtime through planned maintenance scheduling. Planned maintenance includes monitoring equipment; communicating equipment needs and issues and; providing both tactical and strategic support for the Process Department to operate in an effective, efficient and safe manner.**Key Areas of Responsibilities & Duties:**The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:* Lead by example, in all of Marigold’s safety processes, ensuring safe practices are utilized while performing work.* Utilizes computer based work order system to maintain fixed equipment and crushing plant, including preventative maintenance and component replacement.* Provides support in implementing continuous improvement of maintenance strategy that fully utilizes available workforce to achieve maximum equipment availability.* Performs work area inspections.* Determines if work areas are safe and free of hazards. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments.* Completes repair and rebuild of processing equipment in the Plant and Crusher area to include pumps, piping and vessels, which includes preventative and predictive maintenance routes, area cleanup and rebuild of equipment.* Interprets information from schematics, maintenance and parts manuals.* Troubleshoots and completes repair on all pumps, primary crushers, cone crusher, and conveyor systems.* Fabrication and welding.* Troubleshoots and rebuilds gearboxes, pumps including centrifugal and positive displacement preferred.* Replaces major components in a timely manner* Correctly orders parts for procurement from the warehouse or supplier.* Responsible for compliance with company contamination control policies.* Unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship including immediately reporting and mitigating spills and other environmental impacts.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Required Skills:*** Must be able to communicate effectively, in English, using all standard forms of business communication.* Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.* Clear understanding and willingness to observe and practice company SOPs and policies.* Strong understanding of safety policies and procedures relating to fixed plant/crushing equipment and maintenance practices (i.e. guarding, blocking, lock out tag out).* Excellent safety and attendance record.* Own and maintain required personal tools.**Required Experience:*** Minimum 2 years fixed plant and/or crusher maintenance experience. + Fabrication and welding skills preferred.SSR Mining Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
