Job description

Process Machine Operator

Responsibilities:

1. Glass identification and material handling.
2. Prepares, setups, operates, and adjusts manual and CNC finishing machinery to cut, edge, saw, drill, polish, or grind glass or similar materials and tear down of setups.
3. Quality inspection of products.
4. Proper handling of finished pieces.
5. Maintain necessary paperwork and recordkeeping and computer entry of work orders and/or logs.
6. Manual finishing work using hand tools or using tools, equipment, measuring devices, etc. essential to the above tasks.
7. Requires the simultaneous operation of one or more machines and/or performance of other work assignments.
8. Performs preventative maintenance on machines.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
10. Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping according to 5S plus safety principles within work areas.
11. Transport materials through production process using lifting devices such as Forklift/Raymond.

Your Profile

Minimum Requirements:

1. Must have High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
2. Three to five years related manufacturing experience is preferred.
3. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, customer drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
4. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
5. Ability to speak effectively to all levels of management and employees.
6. Be able to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, measurements, area, circumference, and volume.
7. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
8. Use business systems and Microsoft Office Suite software proficiently.
9. Ability to use basic computer operations.
10. Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
11. Ability to use gauges to measure.
12. Ability to be precise, organized, and review work.
13. Ability to operate various machinery.

This position is subject to the union Collective Bargaining Agreement. Starting rate: $25.58/hour. Must be available for all shifts.
